Hello! I am Pinky.

I am a graduate student at University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Masters' Degree in Informatics. I am graduating in Fall 2022, and am open to full-time positions starting from Jan 2023. I am interested in pursuing career in applied machine learning and software engineering building applications and solving real-world problems related to the field of Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

In Summer 2022, I worked as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern at Primer.AI, where I built an Entity-Targeted Sentiment Analysis model to identify (mis/mal/dis)information in social media data (NLP for social good). In Spring 2022, I worked under Prof. Li Chen in the research of predicting streamflow in rivers of Louisiana using stemGNN, LSTM and other seq2seq models. Along with that, I served as a Teaching Assistant for Prof. Michael Totaro in the class of Machine Learning Application.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Pulchowk Campus, Nepal. My undergraduate thesis on Stock Market Prediction using Neural Networks [paper] was supervised by Prof. Subarna Shakya. Previously, I have worked as a Data Scientist at Docsumo, Itonics and worked as a Software Engineer in LIS Nepal. I have also conducted personal research and published the paper in IEEE.
